Hi there, I'm Kristin. My production career started in the least glamorous way possible—wrapping electrical cables at midnight in a Texas swamp during my first internship. It wasn’t exactly Hollywood, but it sparked something in me: a love for the organized chaos of production and the magic of helping big ideas come to life.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2003, I spent years in the indie film trenches as a First Assistant Director, Unit Production Manager, and Line Producer. I learned how to stretch budgets, guide crews, and keep things moving no matter what came our way. Along the way, I got to work on films like Brick (Rian Johnson), I Will Follow (Ava DuVernay), and Timer (Jac Schaeffer)—each one teaching me something new about collaboration, storytelling, and problem-solving.
In 2010, I shifted into television, joining NBCUniversal International Networks. Over the years, I grew into a leadership role producing original series, global campaigns, and some of the biggest live events in entertainment. If you’ve seen content on E!, Style, G4, Syfy, Bravo, Oxygen, and USA, chances are I was behind the scenes making sure it all ran smoothly. I’ve also produced digital series, live broadcasts, and cross-market campaigns that reached audiences around the world.
In 2021, I started Sassy Bird Media to keep doing what I love most: bringing ambitious creative projects to life, building teams that thrive, and exploring new ways (including AI-powered tools and smarter workflows) to help people create faster, better, and with less friction.
Outside of work, I’m a proud member of the Directors Guild of America, an unapologetic taco enthusiast, and have a borderline obsession with lighting—whether it’s for a shoot, an event, or just making a space feel right.
